On 11th February, my book Raised by My Children was launched at Amity University during a session on Conscious Leadership. The occasion was especially meaningful because it brought together two ideas that are deeply connected—conscious parenting and conscious leadership. While the book explores how parents can move from reaction to awareness and from control to connection, the session highlighted the importance of leading with emotional intelligence, responsibility, and self-reflection.

Parenting is often our first experience of leadership. It is within our families that we learn emotional regulation, values, decision-making, conflict resolution, empathy, and accountability. The leadership we later demonstrate in our workplaces, institutions, and communities is often rooted in what we experienced and modelled at home.

I am sincerely grateful to Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeev Bansal, Pro Vice Chancellor, and Amity University, Noida, for providing this opportunity and for recognising that conversations on parenting and leadership belong together. It was an honour to be part of a platform that encourages meaningful dialogue on awareness, growth, and responsible leadership.
